|Licht auf Arp
The Arp Museum in Remagen, situated above the historic railway station Rolandseck, designed by Richard Meier in brilliant white and completed in 2007, contains around 400 works by Hans Arp and Sophie Taeuber-Arp. The exhibition –Licht auf Arp? not only wants to highlight the sculptures of marble, bronze, plaster and wood from the time between 1930 and 1964. It is also meant to throw new light on the much debated problematics of the posthumous casts of Hans Arp–s sculptures. In this publication, the question of making posthumous casts will be critically discussed, so as finally to progress from speculation to the obvious.
